Verónica Arnáiz Uzquiza
is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Valladolid (Spain), where she teaches audiovisual and tourism translation and CAT tools.
Her main research interests lie in audiovisual translation, media accessibility and translation technologies, with a special focus on subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing, as well as translator and interpreter training and the use of computer-assisted translation technologies. She has authored numerous publications, delivered presentations and workshops at international conferences, and participated in several national and European research projects on these fields.
She currently coordinates the research group "Intersemiótica, Traducción y Nuevas Tecnologías-ITNT" (Intersemiotics, Translatioon and New Technologies) and is the Principal Investigator of the Erasmus+ Project FOIL ("Formación Online para las Induestrias de la Lengua - Online Training for the Language Industries"), aimed at fostering innovation and employability in the global language services sector.
